I am a writer & narrative consultant.
Recently, I penned speeches and assisted with Issues Management for Prime Minister Mark Carney during the Liberal leadership race and 2026 Federal general election.
As a national magazine writer I covered business, lifestyles, sports, and international development issues. The highlight of my career was researching & writing the first investigative piece on Indian Residential Schools in Canada (for which I was awarded a Southam/Canadian Journalism Fellowship).
Other writing includes: manuscripts (one fiction, one non-fiction), screenplays (two), a TV pilot, essays, & blog posts.
I spent 15 years as a freelance magazine writer based in Toronto. After being awarded a prestigious fellowship, I redefined myself as a story-based consultant.
These days I use stories + strategy to effect positive change for individuals, organizations, and communities.
I founded The Ink Tank speakers series (Toronto) and UP Basketball (Halifax), and have run two non-profits.
I partner with interesting people to tell important stories.
Politicians looking to tell fresh narratives... CEOs trying to shape & share corporate stories... leaders of non-profits trying to effect positive change.
The next story? It could be yours. Let's talk...
